Green Bay Vacation - Day 1: National Railroad Museum

We took a mini vacation based around the Green Bay Packers Training Camp schedule!

Our first stop was the National Railroad Museum. We had visited with my Mom and Dad a few years ago on our Michigan/Wisconsin loop vacation and really liked the museum, lots of trains to walk through.

Here are the boys pressing buttons which tell about different train signs:
Mike, John, and Ryan standing next to the Big Boy engine - this thing is huge!
The boys pretending to drive the Big Boy:
Ryan steering a caboose:
getting on a Pullman train car (John kept asking why I wanted to take so many pictures!):
pretending to eat in the dinning sky car - Ryan is eating a hot dog:
and John is having some pizza:
The beds in this car fold down into a bed, so the boys tried out one of the open ones:
Mike driving a train:
Riding in an open air train car (it was built and used by the army) around the grounds. Both boys managed to doze off on the 20 minute ride! Then we headed to our hotel. This was the boys first experience with a hotel and to say they were excited to be there is an understatement!
We relaxed for a little bit and then headed down to the pool which was complete with water slide. Mike was able to ride the slide with each of the boys and he took turns taking them down. When they weren't going down the slide, they were jumping into the pools. They had a great time and needless to say we all slept great that night!
